why is education so important?

Well it is obvious that education is important or is it? Not so long ago it was thought you might change jobs 6 to 8 times in your lifetime. I saw a recent missive that people could change jobs at that rate in a 10 year period. It is not what you learn, but knowing how to learn. How to learn: Sit on the front row; ask questions; take notes(even if you never look at your notes again they help). Philosophy - we are what we think, so think positive every day about your education. Of course great teaching is the kicker. Teachers need to be well trained, well paid and deeply appreciated. And don't forget that parents are teachers too. If as a parent you value education your children will also. Be a human sponge on knowledge. Education is never ending and it is actually fun. think it, believe it.
